Angie Day, Central York: She started every game the past two seasons and, as a
sophomore, emerged as one of the divisions top underclassmen. Hitting .333, Day
often created problems for the opposition on the basepaths, stealing 17 bases on as many
attempts. In the field, she was quick to the ball in her outfield position, committing
only two errors. She played the the NSA "B" World Series in Chattanoga Tenn., in July 1999 as part of the Ladybombers. And in the NSA "A" World Series in Columbus Ohio, in 2000. She also played in the District 3 as member of Central High School in 1999
YAIAA GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD ALL-STARSDivision A Angie Day, Central York: The junior Panther was third at the YAIAA meet in the 200-meter dash and fifth in the 100-meter dash. At the District 3 meet, Day was 23rd in the Class AAA 200-meter dash.

Division I1999 Champions: Eastern York Teams to watch: Eastern, Kennard-Dale, Dallastown, South Western Players to watch: Lindsey Rohrbaugh, Jaime Livingston, Jen Noonan, Eastern; Katie Bishard, Emily Payne, Sytiva Seitz, Dallastown; Lindsey Gemmill, Kristy Lohrey, Cassie Scofield, Kennard-Dale; Alyssa Steyer, Amber Bailey, Susquehannock; Angie Day, Central York Notes: Division I's team on the rise has to be South Western, after finishing 10-10 overall last year with the team's best showing since moving to D-I five years ago. First-year coach Rick Eyler has 11 letterwinners returning, and several other division coaches selected the Mustangs as a team to watch. ... The Dover softball team, which went 14-4 in Division II last year, will be making the switch to Division I competition. ... Eyler is one of several first-year coaches in Division I. Also, at Kennard-Dale, Joe Thomas takes over the Rams' program, and Jeffrey Regener, who took over at the end of last year at Dallastown, is now the Wildcats' head coach. ...
